FOSTER CITY and DANVILLE, Calif., June 11, 2008—SolarCity, California’s No. 1 residential solar power company, has initiated a new community solar power program in the East Bay. The program will be available in Danville, Pleasanton, Livermore, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Walnut Creek and other surrounding cities.

George and Darlene Gayler, co-owners of Gayler Construction, a design and remodeling business in Danville, are leading the community-based effort. After signing up for their own solar system, they decided to team with SolarCity to help extend the program to others in their community.
