SolarCity is seeking a highly talented and versatile engineer to develop customer facing web applications for solar monitoring, energy storage and energy efficiency products. In this role, you would create applications that synthesize complex real time data into clean visualizations and controls. Your greatest strength should be front end graphic design, layout and style, but you will work on vertical development from the schema through the UI. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting edge technologies that will enable wide scale deployment of renewable energy generation.
Responsibilities
· Design and develop web applications for visualization and control of complex distributed energy generation systems
· Develop both front end and back end components based on the ASP.NET platform
· Contribute to the full software lifecycle including design, development, documentation, testing and deployment.
· Write and evaluate specifications in collaboration with product managers
· Write SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
Requirements
· Strong proficiency with XHTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX
· An excellent eye for graphic design and usability
· Experience with ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server
· 3+ years of professional software development experience
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or a self-taught understanding of the fundamentals
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
